Letters to Santa Claus
Dear Old Santa Claus,
Christmas is all most here and we want you to bring us some
Candy, apples oranges and I (J.H.) want you to bring me some fire works and a
little steam engine.
I (Ida Fay) want a great big Sleeping doll with long hair,
and little shoes on. Now don't forget to come.

My dear Santa Claus,
I am a little girl seven years oild have been going to
school three months. I love my Teacher dearly.
i live in the eastern part of town. Please bring me some nice things a
doll and some dishes and something nice to eat and just anything else you will
give me.

Come at Aunt Bettie's this year. You know mama is dead now
and aunt Bettie and Grandma are caring for Bettie, Katie, Flora, (?), and me. I
saw the wood and go on errands. I am twelve years old but have not had a chance
to go to school before. I hope I will go to the second grade Christmas.
Please, if you remember me this year, make your own choice
about what you bring. You always make Christmas a happy time for us little
people.
